WHAT IS IT?

What is Fitted Sheet?

The function of a fitted sheet is to protect the mattress and provide a smooth and soft surface for the sleeper to lie on. Fitted sheet has its four corners, and sometimes two or four sides, fitted with elastic, to be used only as a bottom sheet. The fitted sheet may also be secured using a drawstring instead of elastic. Fitted Sheets are also sometimes called bottom sheet.

What is Flat Sheet?

Flat bed sheets are large pieces of material that can be spread out over your mattress to rest against the surface. These sheets will not have elastic to fit down over the corners of the mattress but instead have just a stitched seam around the edges to stop the material from unraveling during use. Flat sheets are usually placed over the fitted sheets(Bottom Sheet) and tucked in on the sides and bottom, beneath the blanket or comforter. Flat sheets also make bedding linen welcoming. They also protect the blanket from getting dirty, so it doesn’t have to be washed as often. Flat Sheets are also called Top Sheets.

What is a Duvet?

A duvet is a soft, flat bag filled with down or synthetic fibers. The name refers to this insert and is sold separately from duvet covers or other coordinating bed linens. If you hate making the bed, a duvet with a cover can be used instead of a top sheet and blanket, which can save time and stress. While a duvet cover should be machine washable, duvets themselves are usually dry-cleaned.

What is a Comforter?

A comforter is a thick, quilted, fluffy blanket that is used to keep you warm. It is usually filled with synthetic fiber filler which is quilted or stitched to secure the filling and keep it evenly distributed. Unlike a duvet, the comforter only forms one piece of all of your bed linens.

What is a Bed Skirt?

A bed skirt, which looks similar to an oversized sheet, is layered between a mattress and box spring with the fabric extending to the floor. The skirt covers a box spring, bed frame, and anything stored under the bed. In the past, a bed skirt was also referred to as a dust ruffle because it served to prevent dust bunnies from forming underneath the bed.

What is a Body Pillow?

A body pillow is an over sized pillow that provides your body with extraordinary comfort, relief and a more restful night's sleep. These mattress-sized pillows mold themselves to your body to provide total support to your back or extremities and can eliminate pain at pressure points such as the knees or elbows. A body pillow can also help eliminate tossing and turning at night since they cradle you inside them securely.

What is a Euro Sham?

A euro sham pillow (often known as a euro pillow) is a square pillow used decoratively on beds, usually placed behind standard, queen, and king sized pillows. The traditional size for euro sham pillows is 26" x 26". They are usually covered in a decorative pillow case known as a Euro Sham.

What is a Pillow Sham?

Pillow shams tend to open from the back, sometimes with a hidden closure, and other times with an overlapping length of fabric. They are typically bordered on three or, more commonly, four sides with a flat piece of fabric called a flange. Although they can definitely be slept on like normal pillowcases, pillow shams are usually used as support when sitting in bed and as decoration during the day. Sham pillows can be placed behind normal pillows when sleeping or just removed from the bed completely.

What is a Pillow Cases?

Pillow cases are open at one end, with no type of closure. They tend to be simpler, and therefore less decorative. They’re often made from the same fabric as the sheets they accompany. Better quality pillow cases may include decorative touches, typically along the open cuff. This may include embroidery, hemstitching, or coordinating fabrics used for the cuff.
